Inventory is comprehensively managed through the Vineyard2Door POS Application, including inventory not specifically earmarked for onsite retail sales. The inventory management features include:

Inventory Lots

Each product group - whether it is a specific wine vintage or no-wine-merchandise - can be defined in lots. Each lot of merchandise has a total quantity that can the be assigned a value and allocated to sales or distribution channels.

Inventory Allocation

Once an inventory lot has been defined, portions of that lot can be allocated to sales or distribution channels, such as offsite warehouses, onsite retail locations, or distributors.

Inventory Status

The status of all inventory allocations can be viewed live, including estimated depleted and require immediate replenishment.

Inventory Reporting

Inventory managed through the POS Application can be reported against sales volumes per inventory allocation and sales velocity of each inventory allocation.

Inventory Movement

Inventory movement is tracked to be reported as bond-to-bond and/or bond-to-retail for tax purposes.
