ABOUT THE WINE

Gamache Vintners 2008 Estate Viognier honors both our Mother and Grandmother with the name "Velida," two beautiful, strong women who approach life with a gentle grace.  Whole-cluster pressing and barrel fermentation in neutral barels produced a rich, full bodied wine the likes of which is rarely seen in Viognier.  Intense fruits kissed with butter offer a refreshing alternative to Chardonnay.
