Released January 2010: Gård Vintners' 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes from Winemaker Robert Smasne:
Following in the footsteps of our 2006 vintage, the 2007 Gård Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate, Lawrence Vineyards, was aged in 100% new oak (a selection of American and French barrels), and features a brighter, more complex Cabernet in comparison with 2006. Rich with fruit, the wine is lush and chewy. The ripe berry flavors lead to notes of chocolate, coffee beans, toffee and hints of smoked tobacco that are wrapped around well-managed tannins and new oak. The wine finishes bold, with round complexity.

Our grapes are the product of our estate vineyard, Lawrence Vineyards, on the scenic Frenchman Hills of Washington's Columbia Valley.

We take as much care in growing the grapes as we do in producing the wine, and we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed making it.
