The AlmaTerra wines project is dedicated to making wines - from diverse Washington American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) - that express terroir in every glass.

In the first release of AlmaTerra wines, 2006 Syrah wines are featured. The fruit comes from three outstanding Northwest vineyards - Ciel du Cheval Vineyard, Coyote Canyon Vineyard & Minick Vineyard.

This year, as a preview of the single-vineyard Viognier wines we will release in 2010, we offer a 2007 AlmaTerra Coéo Viognier that is a blend of three single-vineyard Viognier wines. Enjoy the harmony and beauty.

Coéo is Latin. It means "to come together", "to assemble" or "to form an alliance". The AlmaTerra Coéo Syrah is a blend of our three single-vineyards. Savor the complexity and nuance of our terroir-inspired Syrah wines.

This Chardonnay from Upland Vineyard, in the Snipes Mountain AVA, explodes in the glass with zesty lemon, floral perfume, vanilla, toasted almonds and beautiful oak leads to lively acidity with a creamy, complex core that showcases the 12 months sur lees

This red wine blend showcases pure, bright and straight forward fruit. It is loaded with ripe berry flavors, hints of spice, chocolate, mocha, and a rich roundness of well-integrated oak.

The Block 3 Syrah from Lawrence Vineyard is an elegant syrah, rather sexy, unveiling layers of soft berry fruit, ripe raspberries and hints of spice all wrapped around a core of delicate oak.
